Linux Distro Survey - 3rd Time is the Charm

Good grief.

It seems as though I am survey-challenged.  Really, I'm not.  I promise this time we'll keep the survey open.

Previously, over the weekend, I had launched a Linux Distro Survey using two separate survey tools.  Regretfully, I had to close each as I discovered post 'Launch' that there were deficiencies that precluded their use in obtaining more than 100 responses.

This tool, eSurv, should allow us, hopefully, to gather a substantially larger set of responses.  The survey is set to close on Friday, March 1st.

So, please, accept my apology for the prior 'snafus' and I hope you will take a minute to give your feedback (see survey below).

[Edit: 2/26/2013 - View the results in real-time here.]

P.S.
If you should happen to be at work and you get a message "You can only answer once from this ip address", I am afraid you will need to do your survey response at another location other than work--quite possibly someone else in your organization has already taken the survey and the WAN ip address is what is being registered on the response.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Thank You.

I can't select more then one? I cycle through them so much that I was going to select the ones I spent the most time with but I suppose I must choose one........

  3. The survey allows just one choice.
The question: "Which Linux Distro do you use most often"?

So, if you use more than one, select the one which fits the answer best, or, simply don't participate. Thank you.

  4. Hard survey. I'm with Abel and probably the majority. Although we might have our favorites (Like Crunchbang), a Linux user can never have just one. The next survey should be done with check boxes, and if possible, the various machines we're running them on, young and old (Like Crunchbang on a Thinkpad from 2004). The results would have all kinds of interesting patterns..

  5. Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu versus Mint!
Should we not be counting each separate DE/WM for Mint, (and Kernel)?
Nothing against Mint, but lets have a comparable comparison next time.

Same goes for the others, and I do like the idea of a machine/OS comparison.
    A happy Lubuntu user!

  6. Well, I suppose we should consider that, but it's going to treble, quadruple the list of choices, and Distrowatch doesn't differentiate either. Thanks for the feedback.

  7. I agree, but Distrowatch should differentiate I think?
Maybe that should be a survey in itself? :-)
